School accreditation is a very important aspect of our development and, as you are all aware, we are fully authorised by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) to offer IGCSE and A Level Courses. Additionally, we are now an IB candidate school to offer the Diploma Programme (IBDP) in the future and some of our teaching staff are already registered to attend various IB training courses. We are also pleased to inform that all the required documentation has been submitted to the Council of International Schools (CIS) in order to support our membership application with them. Becoming registered members of CIS will be our first step in seeking accreditation from them.
This week we held a ‘Celebration Afternoon’ with the students who had been so successful as our first cohort who took IGCSE examinations and we also invited their parents to share this celebration. It was a wonderful occasion and a fitting recognition of their outstanding achievements as our founding IGCSE students.
At the beginning of October 2024, the British International School (BIS) Hanoi proudly supported some of our brightest mathematicians from the Secondary school as they participated in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge (UKMT SMC).
