The event took place in our newly refurbished library, the teams of students spread out across the space and knuckled down to produce some outstanding work in a friendly and supportive environment. One visiting teacher from another school commented, “this space is amazing, it feels like a California start up in here”, we were very proud to receive such praise.

The Computing Department hosted the event, Year 7 students acted as roving reporters interviewing the participants throughout the day, Y10 students were on hand to provide some tech support and to demonstrate some of our technology.

As the competition neared its end the teams worked hard to submit their entries, once the deadline had passed the three judges retired to their deliberation chamber to make the evaluations. A tense time was had as we all waited with abated breath for their decisions. We were over the moon with the event, but we were even happier when one of our own Y6 teams won the main event.
