On Thursday we gathered in the Auditorium to enjoy the delights of the Primary Summer Showcase and what a show it was! A range of individuals and groups performed a variety of music and dance acts which created an incredible showcase of the talent within our school. In addition to the Julliard Curriculum that students follow in class, our music ECA program offers great opportunities for students to get involved and learn to perform as part of group. It was clear to see the hard work and effort that went into yesterday’s Showcase – well done to all!

1B Reflection
1B delivered a wonderful assembly in EYC this morning as they introduced us to their special guest Reflection Rebecca. Over the last week 1B have been reflecting on their achievements and successes which they spoke about confidently and with pride. As we approach the end of the school year, reflecting on our own learning and development is an important process; taking the time to think about things that went well and things we are proud of are important as we think about our next steps. They finished their assembly with a beautiful song about their next journey as they prepare to move into Year 2.

Year 2 Assembly

This afternoon Year 2 gave the final class assembly of the academic year and what a way to finish! As a showcase of their learning about ‘People from the Past’ the children entertained us from start to finish. Over the course of the topic the children have had visits from historical people, written historical non-fiction texts and created some amazing art work. Our curriculum approach in Primary enables children to delve into a topic and deepen their learning and today certainly showed that. Well done Year 2; a fantastic way to end our Primary Assemblies for the year.

Next Friday, Primary Reports will be sent home; you are invited to make an appointment to see your child’s class teacher if you would like to talk about anything in the report on Monday 25th of June.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,

Ms Rebecca Carroll, Head of Primary
