It was a real honour to showcase the high quality of teaching and learning at BIS
On Thursday I had the pleasure of showing, Andy Puttock, the Director of Education for Nord Anglia, around our Primary School. I had a huge sense of pride as we walked into Primary classes where students were engaged, being challenged and moving forward in their learning. This is a familiar sight for me but it was a real honour to showcase the high quality teaching and learning in BIS.
As we walked into Year 6 we sat in on a student delivering their speaking program on the topic ‘A person who inspires me’. It was an engaging performance and one that received not only peer and teacher feedback but also congratulations from our visitor. Moving around the Primary corridors it was wonderful see students talking confidently about their learning and our students certainly impressed.
Moon Festival Celebrations
I was amazed and in awe at the vibrant, polished performances that were part of our magnificent Moon Festival Assembly today. Students from across the school, including Year 4 and 6 in Primary, performed with confidence and skill. Telling traditional Vietnamese stories through dance with a modern twist had the whole school captivated. The auditorium was packed full of students, staff and parents and it is certainly one of the highlights of the year for our BIS community. Huge congratulations to all our Vietnamese staff and students who worked incredibly hard to create such a wonderful performance
Next week we will hold our first Parent Workshop of the year and the focus will be International Week. It will be at 14:15 in the Primary Parent Lounge.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,
Rebecca Carroll, Head of Primary

As the academic year whirls by, the first term in primary school draws to a close, marking the end of a whirlwind of learning, growth, and new experiences.
As we move towards the end of term, our Primary exit points are always a great celebration of learning that has taken place over previous weeks and months.
At BIS, in addition to the excellent opportunities we are providing in the classroom, we enrich the students experiences and learning by taking them on day trips.
