The Varsity Swim team competed in their first meet of the season last night against The Village School. Although the squad was smaller than usual, they were no less mighty. Our Year 10 swimmers took on the responsibility of representing the school with great enthusiasm. Every swimmer pushed themselves in new events and many received their personal best time of the season.
Special acknowledgments to Liam W. and Dylan W. for reaching a new personal best time in the 50 freestyle. Johnathan R. for having a personal best time in the 50 butterfly. Daniel K. for having a personal best in the 50 breaststroke. Finally, a special acknowledgment to our female swimmers Miranda R., Josie H. and Bianca A. who all competed in new events with no hesitation and proudly represented the team!
“I am extremely proud of their hard work and efforts, not only last night, but with the countless hours they have dedicated to practice and the team. This young team has great potential, and I am excited to see what they will be able to achieve with their determination.”- Swim Coach : Mary Garesche
