Michal Emanovsky began playing horn in his native Czech Republic and in 1994 received a full scholarship to study at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in California with financial support from the Foundation for a Civil Society. Four years later, he was accepted at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where he completed his Bachelor of Music degree under the tutelage of Myron Bloom and Jerome Ashby.
