Poet and author Steven Herrick performed some of his poems for the children and staff from years 3 - 6. He talked to us about his work and how he writes his poems using his own experiences from his own childhood and taking inspiration from his children.
Some of our own students and teachers even made an appearance in a very special poem performed just for us. The highlight of the performance was the poem "10 things you will never hear your teacher say". Steven's poems were funny, silly but always entertaining.
If you want to read more of Steven's poems then you can find his poetry book 'Untangling Spaghetti' in the library.
