Congratulations to our IGCSE Art students, Kadri and Sophia on their final exam art work!

After weeks of home learning through the Nord Anglia Virtual School Experience, it was an absolute pleasure to be able to welcome back to school the older students from senior school on the 7th April.

Over the past two weeks, our Head Boy has been busy organizing lunch time discussion activities for all senior students.

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week around the world and 64 of our students recorded short messages of thanks to our teachers.

With the Nord Anglia Virtual School Experience entering its third month, students and teachers have been learning what makes great lessons online and honing their skills on the technology; however, for one group of students, screen time is not always so easy – and whilst our youngest students love seeing their teacher onscreen, they benefit most from hands-on, practical and creative tasks that aren’t always easy to deliver via WiFi…

Many people understand outdoor learning as just playing and do not see it as an essential part of development, however, research has discovered that it is in fact an essential part to the development of young children.

Friday 25th October saw students, staff, parents and friends celebrate the 71st birthday of the United Nations with an international festival in the gym, some fantastic presentations from our students and families, and a first public performance from own our Orchestra of United Nations, all in the theatre during our assembly.

This month has seen continued progress from our students in PE lessons. Key Stage 1 have been continuing with their fundamental movements unit, Key Stage 2 have been making the most of the fine autumnal weather outside honing their football skills and Key Stage 3 and 4 have been getting lots of match practise in in both football and basketball, with an emphasis on tactics and positional awareness.

Every year after October’s Golden Week Holiday, senior school holds its elections for the new student council who are led by our Head Boy, Lucas Shephard and our Head Girl, Sofia Monti.

BSN celebrates a hat-trick of outstanding IGCSE and A level awards that are awarded by the Cambridge and Pearson EdExcel Examination Boards to the most exceptional students of all.
