Turning Kindness into Action - Liya Story

At BSN, Social Impact is about more than participating in school activities. It is about inspiring students to take initiative and make a positive difference beyond the classroom.

Inspired by her experiences with Social Impact at BSN, Liya recently took the initiative to visit the Nanjing Social Children's Welfare Institute with her friends.

Together, they prepared and donated school supplies, including pens and notebooks. During the visit, they spent time playing and interacting with the children, listening to their stories and learning more about their daily lives from the staff.

What made this experience particularly meaningful was that Liya organised this visit independently, rather than as part of a school-organised activity.

Reflecting on the experience, Liya shared:

“I want to come back and help — maybe as a volunteer one day.”
