This week the year 6 children were given a fantastic opportunity to have a full day with Secondary. Their challenge was to find ways to achieve zero hunger around the world. They worked alongside Year 7 and 8 students and were organised into small groups to complete their video-making task. The day began with a very special talk from Mr Ha, who is a representative from the United Nations. He discussed the zero hunger challenge and ways we can work towards ending hunger in Vietnam and abroad too. The children then went for some specialist lessons with Secondary teachers. The topics included financial planning, leadership, sustainability, evaluating, time management and project planning. The children had a wonderful day meeting their new teachers and getting used to how things work in Secondary, and also learnt lots about global goals.

“Yesterday we had a wonderful time with the Year 7 and 8 students helping us, and we also became used to being in Secondary.” – Phu Minh

“Tuesday was a great opportunity for us to learn about how things work in Secondary.  Everyone was busy doing their work. It was a lovely, fun day.” – Van Anh

“This was a great chance for us to learn about how to be a good Secondary student by communicating with the Secondary teachers” – Lan Anh

“The teachers were very cool” – Huy Hoang
