Admissions Open 2025-2026
This year BVIS annual Sports Day took place at a new venue with some new and exciting sports on offer. In addition to many traditional track and field events students participated in house football and house basketball competitions.
On the day there was a fantastic atmosphere amongst the staff and the students and it made me happy to see so many of them take to the track, field, court or pitch in a bid to help their house become the champions.
The highlight for me was the enjoyment that sport and friendly competition can bring to all students. Sports day is an amazing opportunity for students to experience something that they wouldn’t while on the school campus, whether it is a competitor or as supporter. A day like Sports Day offers the challenge of competing against your friends that have previously been team mates, competing against those who can push you to be your best, supporting your house and motivating others when things get tough.
For our older students it gave them the opportunity to take on leadership roles. The 6th form media students were on hand to capture the important moments and interview staff and students about the day, and I can’t wait to see the finished video! In addition, a valuable member of our sporting community at BVIS, Le Duc Anh Shun, stepped up as Hue’s house captain to motivate all those in his house in their fight for victory!
I would like to pass on my congratulations to all our competitors and medal winners, and a big thank you to all staff, in particular the PE team, on organizing and running such a wonderful event.
