Today, we have an interview with Lee Hanol, who scored three A grades in his A Level examinations in June 2020. He is currently studying Psychology at Yonsei University, Korea - Top 3 in Korea & top 25 university in QS World Ranking 2020.
Thank you. My tips are setting a goal, and running towards it. Also, learning to be narcissistic and self-critical at the same time. If you achieve something, no matter how small that achievement may be, be proud of it as much as you can. That achievement can be as small as waking up in the morning at the right time. But when you make a small mistake, the same rule applies, no matter how silly it is; reflect on it and make sure it does not happen again.
All the teachers in BVIS have been great in teaching, I was always been encouraged to ask questions inside or outside of the classroom. But most importantly, they were great motivators and mentors, guiding me through the courses. They have taught me many lessons by giving me advice. When I had a vague dream of being a psychologist, they were the ones who helped me organize this dream into long and short term objectives, making it easier for me to manage and follow it.
BVIS Hanoi provided me with a variety of extracurricular programs such as the Student Parliament, leadership training, and internship. I was able to develop my leadership which includes many other characteristics like being resilient, responsible, active listener, etc. This not only allowed me to become a good student but also helped me to become a better person outside of school.
Being able to study in an international school is no doubt a privilege. The school has taught me how to become a global citizen, and part of that means to make a difference in the community and help those who are in need.
My plan for the near future is to get actively involved in community service by offering what I learned from BVIS Hanoi to those who haven't had the chance and take part in projects that are working towards overcoming Covid-19, such as the blood donation program.
My ultimate goal is to become a psychologist contributing to the development of a more healthy society. I am excited by the new chapter at university. I am hoping to learn more so that I can further give back to the community and make this world a better place.
