Principal's update (10/4 - 14/4) Highlight school news and sharing from our Principal (April 10 to April 14)

Dear Parents

A very warm welcome back to Term 3 and I hope you all had a great Spring break.

With only 9 weeks left of the academic year, there is still lots to do here at BVIS.

Mr Paul Holyome Principal EN
1. Year 4, 5 & 6's Residential trips

This week our Year 4, 5 and 6 students went on their annual residential trip.

This is such an important part of our school and I’m sure the experiences they have had and the additional friendships they have made will have made them even better young people for it. A big thank you to all the staff who gave up their time to support these trips.

2. CIS survey results

Before the holiday we circulated further great news about our CIS survey results. Please see below for more information:

3. Thanks for participating in Re-enrolment survey

I am delighted to report that a significant number of our families have confirmed they intend to continue at BVIS next year. This is great news and we are forever grateful for your continued support of the school.

4. School upgrades

This year I have instigated a significant investment plan in facilities at the school with investment of over 2 million US$ on upgrades over the next few years. During the spring break we started this work with the main highlights being:

  • New Secondary Reception
  • EYFS Air con covers
  • Additional shading and covers across the school

We will continue over the coming months with many more initiatives and I look forward to sharing updates on these investments over time.

5. Bao Ngoc (Year 13) received 5 billion VND scholarship from university in the USA

With amazing academic results and extra-curricular activities achievements, Bao Ngoc in Year 13 (class KS5-N) received an offer letter from the University of Virginia (Top 25 USA), and a scholarship of 5 billion VND for 4 years of study at Fordham University as well scholarships from 6 other top universities in the US, UK, and Australia.
