BVIS Hanoi students are attending the 2025 Nord Anglia Student Summit in Houston, joining over 160 international students to develop real-world solutions for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in collaboration with UNICEF and Nord Anglia Education.

HANOI, June 2025 – British Vietnamese International School Hanoi (BVIS Hanoi), part of the prestigious Nord Anglia Education family, is proud to announce that 160+ students have been selected to attend the 2025 Nord Anglia Student Summit in Houston, Texas. This transformative global event brings together student leaders from around the world to collaborate on issues aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Hosted by The Village School and the British International School of Houston from 21–28 June, this year’s Summit is themed around Leadership, and will welcome over 160 students from 54 Nord Anglia schools worldwide.

A global platform for student voice and impact

At the Summit, BVIS Hanoi students will:

• Participate in workshops with UNICEF, World’s Largest Lesson, Generation Global, and other thought leaders to strengthen their advocacy and leadership skills.
• Volunteer in the local Houston community, including supporting a local food bank.
• Collaborate with international peers on capstone projects focused on Nutrition, Education, and Health—based on real-world challenges developed by UNICEF.
• Lead peer talks to share their social impact work on themes such as sustainability, equality, and climate action.

Mr. Paul Holyome Principal of BVIS Hanoi, said:

"At BVIS Hanoi, the SDGs are embedded across our curriculum and school culture – from student-led environmental campaigns to community outreach and global citizenship projects. We are thrilled to see our students represent BVIS at the Summit and take their passion for change to a global stage."

The students representing BVIS Hanoi this year are Chieu Nghi, Minh Van, and Huong Giang, all currently in Year 11. Their selection recognises their outstanding contributions to student voice and social impact initiatives throughout the academic year.

Continuing our commitment to global citizenship

The Student Summit is one of many ways BVIS Hanoi students engage with social impact throughout the year. Our school also takes part in the Social Impact Distinctions framework, which recognises schools at bronze, silver, and gold levels for their work embedding children’s rights and the SDGs. Students can also apply for Social Impact Grants to grow their projects and deepen their community outreach.
