At BVIS Hanoi, we believe that the foundation of exceptional student outcomes lies in exceptional teaching. This commitment was on full display as the school proudly hosted the FOBISIA Teaching Community Conference 2025, a two-day event under the theme “Connection and Innovation.”
The conference brought together hundreds of passionate educators from FOBISIA schools across the region, creating a vibrant hub of ideas, creativity, and collaboration. Over two inspiring days, teachers engaged in meaningful conversations about how to enhance learning through innovation, evidence-based practice, and continuous professional growth.
The event began with a warm Welcome Evening at Novotel Thai Ha, where delegates connected through shared experiences, live performances, and cross-school networking. The following day, BVIS Hanoi’s campus came alive with interactive workshops, classroom demonstrations, and panel discussions, each designed to spark reflection and dialogue on modern teaching practice.
Sessions covered topics such as inquiry-based learning, curriculum design, technology integration, and wellbeing in education, offering practical strategies that educators could immediately bring back to their schools.
This year’s keynote speakers – Dr Simon Breakspear, Lisa Low, and Chris Scorer – set an inspiring tone for the conference. Their sessions on evidence-based innovation, inclusion, and effective leadership encouraged teachers to rethink how schools can adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing educational landscape.
Their insights reinforced BVIS Hanoi’s core belief: great teaching evolves through reflection, collaboration, and research-informed practice.
For the BVIS Hanoi teaching community, the conference was more than an event – it was a celebration of a culture built on lifelong learning and professional excellence. Teachers from BVIS led several workshops and presentations, sharing classroom strategies, student-centred learning models, and creative approaches that have become hallmarks of the school’s success.
