BVIS Hanoi Students Complete Their Duke of Edinburgh Qualifying Expedition in Sapa

BVIS Hanoi Students Complete Their Duke of Edinburgh Qualifying Expedition in Sapa - DoE Sapa
A Journey of Skills, Resilience and Teamwork.

BVIS is one of only four schools in Hanoi offering this program which allows students to learn and develop additional skills to support their future university and job applications.

In addition to this each team has had to collect information for a project which they will present to their assessors at a later date. The weather was kind to all with warm sunshine and cool evening temperatures perfect for camping. The expedition is both a team challenge and a personal challenge for students.

The expedition forms one of four sections of this internationally recognised award, where students also must volunteer, learn a new skill and take part in a physical activity over a period of months. Students will now spend the remaining time completing these other sections and logging their evidence to complete the award.

Congratulations to all the students who took part, you were a credit to the school and demonstrated the school values of Respect, Perseverance, Caring, Enquiry, Reflection and Integrity.

Thank you to the staff and guides who supported our trip and an extended thank you to the BVIS staff, Phuong Duong Hong and Eleanor Dunford who volunteered their time to enable the trip to run, Nguyen Thanh Thuy for the administrative support and Paul Ogden for his assistance in the DoE ECA.
