Hanoi, December 2025 – BVIS Hanoi is delighted to announce that two Year 12 students, Minh Van and Huong Giang, have successfully secured funding from the Nord Anglia Education Social Impact Fund for their student-led initiative, LOVIENTUS – a nutritional awareness programme for children.

LOVIENTUS was founded by Minh Van and Huong Giang with the ambition of delivering a series of activities and workshops on nutrition, tailored for children from diverse backgrounds. Through this project, they hope to foster a deeper understanding of how a healthy diet is paramount to both physical and mental development.
The project is one of only 24 initiatives selected across the global Nord Anglia network in this latest funding round. To date, the Nord Anglia Education Social Impact Fund has invested a total of $985,075 into 86 student-led projects across more than 90 international schools worldwide.

Reflecting on the students' achievement, Mr Paul Holyome, Principal of BVIS Hanoi, commented: “What makes me most proud of Minh Van and Huong Giang is not just the concept of the project itself, but the way they have proactively identified a real community need and shown the grit to turn that vision into tangible action. LOVIENTUS perfectly encapsulates the spirit of experiential learning, where students don't just learn for the sake of knowledge, but to make a genuine positive impact.”
With the backing from Nord Anglia Education, the team will scale up their efforts and enhance the quality of their community outreach, while contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through its global partnership with UNICEF, Nord Anglia Education remains committed to supporting students in driving positive, sustainable change ahead of the 2030 deadline.

Ms Leslie Williams, Head of Social Impact and Philanthropy at Nord Anglia Education, shared: “Initiatives like LOVIENTUS do more than just benefit the community; they empower students to develop essential life skills – from strategic planning and resource management to balancing academic commitments with social responsibility. This is a vital foundation for their long-term success.”
Funding proposals are reviewed by the Nord Anglia Student Advisory Board – placing students at the heart of the evaluation process – before approved by the Grants Board, which comprises education experts, principals, and teachers from across the global family of schools.

LOVIENTUS is not only a credit to Minh Van and Huong Giang but also a shining testament to how BVIS Hanoi students are empowered to learn through action, develop leadership mindsets, and create a lasting legacy within their local community.
