Dear Families
I am extremely proud of our incredible teachers and their huge impact they have on the outcomes for your children. We have recently been celebrating them and I am delighted to share the information here.
✨ EYFS & Primary Teachers
✨ Secondary Teachers

Working with families to achieve the best outcomes for students continues to be a huge focus across the school. As just one example, I was delighted to see that over 90% of Year 11 parents attended the recent parent consultation evening. Thank you for your continued support. Together we can achieve even greater things.

Next week I will be hosting my termly Principal update meeting. I hope many of you will be able to join.

In EYFS, the children have been developing their cooking skills.

Year 1 students learned from the model text, “How to Make a Sandcastle,” and then had great fun putting the instructions into practice by building and decorating their own sandcastles in class.

In this week's IPC class, we learned the song ''Bảo vệ Trái Đất xanh” together and created posters to encourage everyone to join hands in protecting the environment. The students worked hard, collaborated well, and shared the workload with one another.

This week, Year 3 continued their IPC topic on chocolate. Students tasted a traditional spicy chocolate drink and sampled different chocolates, using descriptive vocabulary to discuss flavours and textures.

Year 4 strengthened their love of reading through Book Week activities, including an illustrator visit, extra library sessions and buddy reading with younger students. In IPC, they investigated bird beak adaptations by using tools to transport different objects.

Year 5 developed their historical enquiry and inference skills by examining models of artefacts from Ancient Greece and Rome, using evidence from the objects to draw conclusions about the past.

Year 6 students developed their understanding of traditional Vietnamese architecture by studying nhà trình tường (rammed earth houses). They examined how natural materials are compacted to create durable, sustainable walls and gained insight into the cultural and environmental significance of this building method.

On Friday, two performance coaches from IMG delivered high‑energy workshops at BVIS focused on handling pressure, building resilience, and developing strategies for perseverance. The sessions were highly engaging and left a strong impression on both students and presenters, with overwhelmingly positive feedback. We look forward to continuing our partnership with IMG and are excited to see students begin applying what they learned.

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Suyeon Lim and Michelle Yeh in this year’s Global Campus Art Competition!
Suyeon Lim (Year 9) was crowned the Key Stage 3 winner, impressing judges with a creative and beautifully executed piece that stood out among many strong entries.
Michelle Yeh (Year 13) achieved an equally remarkable success, winning the Key Stage 4/5 category. Her artwork was praised for its originality, technical skill, and thoughtful composition, earning her top recognition across the senior year groups.

Both students will now represent our school in the global Nord Anglia competition, where their work will compete with winning entries from Nord Anglia schools around the world.
Congratulations to Suyeon and Michelle on these fantastic achievements! We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to seeing your continued success.
As part of the Women’s Day celebrations, 7V researched famous women in Mathematics. Students worked in pairs to create a presentation, learning about what skills make a good presentation. Students then presented their findings to the class. This activity supports students to become more confident in speaking and research skills.

Last week many of 8B were at the Fobisia competition and so the remaining students became their teachers for their subsequent Maths lessons, helping them to catch up and understand the work they missed. Peer teaching is very effective in deepening understanding for the student who is teaching, and the paired working environment allows students to confidently ask questions to their peers. The classroom was full of active learning, using mathematical language and consolidating understanding.

Year 8 have been using learning about catalysts through the ‘Elephants Toothpaste’ demonstration!

Meanwhile, Y12 A level students have been working with lasers and diffraction grating for light.
