Dear Families
A very warm welcome back and I hope you all had a great half-term break. We have a very busy and exciting half term ahead with lots of activities and events to look forward to.
On Monday and Tuesday, we were pleased to welcome four potential candidates who had been carefully chosen by Nord Anglia for the Principal position from August 2027. The candidates met with some selected students, parents and staff as well as some Regional Office Directors. They were all very complimentary about the school. We will update you in due course once any final decision has been made.

On Tuesday we celebrated Vietnam Women's Day and it was great to see such appreciation for our fantastic female colleagues working across the school.
Our Year 11 and Year 13 students complete their mock examinations this week and we wish them the very best of luck with the pending results.

Today I had the pleasure of attending the Primary School Talent Show. What an incredible event and such amazing young talent on display. Well done everyone.
This week you will have received an invitation via email to our annual Christmas celebration event. See details below:
I wish you all a very happy and relaxing weekend ahead.

Growing Mathematical Minds
In Early Years, children are building strong foundations in mathematics through hands-on exploration. In F1, they are learning to compare and describe objects by size, while F2 children are developing confidence in recognising numerals, counting to 10 and matching numbers to quantities. In F3, children are strengthening their understanding of number bonds to 5 and extending this knowledge to 10, helping them develop fluency and number sense.

Celebrating the People Who Matter Most
To mark Vietnamese Women’s Day, Year 1 children reflected on the special women in their lives and expressed their appreciation through thoughtful messages and handmade paper flowers. This meaningful activity helped develop gratitude, kindness and an understanding of the importance of showing appreciation for others.

Learning Together Through Maths
Year 2 children have been developing their addition and subtraction skills through engaging games and practical learning activities. Alongside growing their mathematical understanding, they have strengthened their teamwork and communication skills by listening to others, sharing ideas and working collaboratively. We would also like to thank our Year 2 families for helping us celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day.

Stepping Back in Time
Year 3 launched their new IPC topic, Footprints from the Past, with an exciting dinosaur adventure. Children worked as young palaeontologists, investigating fossils, excavating dinosaur eggs and creating dinosaur X-rays. Through enquiry, teamwork and hands-on learning, they developed curiosity and a deeper interest in the prehistoric world.

A Taste of Discovery
Year 4 began their new IPC unit, What’s on the Menu?, by exploring the science of taste. Through a range of tasting challenges, children investigated different flavours, shared opinions and analysed class results. The experience developed observation, discussion and data-handling skills while encouraging children to try new things and think critically about their preferences.

Reaching for the Stars
Year 5 have made an enthusiastic start to their new IPC topic, Space Scientists. Children have already demonstrated great curiosity by asking thoughtful questions and sharing ideas about the universe. Their excitement for discovery is laying the foundation for a half-term of scientific investigation, exploration and learning.

Exploring Our Local Habitat
Year 6 launched their new IPC topic by carrying out a habitat survey around Royal City. Children observed living things, gathered evidence and asked questions about the environment around them. This practical experience developed their scientific enquiry skills while helping them understand how conservation and environmental issues connect to the real world.

Well done Y11 and 13 students!
Congratulations to our Year 11 and Year 13 students on completing their IGCSE and A Level mock examinations! These exams are an important opportunity to reflect on progress, identify areas for further development, and build confidence ahead of the summer examinations. We are incredibly proud of the focus, commitment, and perseverance our students have shown throughout this period. Results Day will be 17 November, when students will have the opportunity to review their performance and consider their next steps as they continue working towards their goals.

SORA – Online Reading Platform
This week in their library lessons Key Stage 3 students are exploring SORA, our online reading platform, with Ms Ba the Head Librarian.
They are learning all about how SORA works and the wide range of reading available on there across different genres. Each session is followed with a quiz about finding an YA book character bestie/spooky read or favorite genre.

Y12 Service-Learning Trip – Keep Vietnam Clean
This week, our amazing Year 12 students joined the local community and Keep Vietnam Clean for a meaningful clean-up at Mai Dich Park. From eco-games to hands-on teamwork, the day was filled with smiles, learning, and community spirit. Together, they made a real difference - proving that small actions can lead to big change. Let’s keep the good care going for our environment!Upcoming Events
