After completing her PGCE in 2019, Demi spent two years teaching in a UK state school. Being unable to travel due to the pandemic made Demi act on her dream to see the world, live in a different country and experience a new culture. This resulted in Demi moving her life and teaching career to Vietnam, where she gained a role teaching Science in an independent school. To date, Demi has taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and GCSE level. She is excited to be taking on the new role of KS3 Maths teacher in addition to science, hoping to explore the relationship between these two closely related subjects further.
When Demi is not teaching, she aims to explore more of Vietnam and other parts of Southeast Asia. Demi enjoys baking and being active. She is enjoying the range of activities in her local area, trying new things such as rock climbing, dance and Vietnamese language classes.
