Hendrik attended Stellenbosch University from 2005 -2008, majored in Latin and English, and then completed his Honours Degree in English Studies. He completed his CELTA soon thereafter and spent many years in Malaysia and Vietnam working as a language instructor. In 2018 he finished his PGCE from Leeds Beckett University and in 2021 he completed his SENCO qualifications (PG Cert SENCO) at the same university. He is also a trained YLE, KET and PET Cambridge Examiner.
Hendrik loves being outside of his comfort zone and enjoys being faced with a difficult challenge, whether at home or in school. In his spare time, you will find him cycling around Hanoi with his golf clubs and singing karaoke with the locals.
