Jordan studied English Literature at Durham University. After graduating, he completed a PGDE in Education Leadership in Learning with Teach First, teaching in the North East of England, before moving to BVIS Hanoi in 2020.
Jordan is passionate about teaching English and leading the English department. He believes English is unique in the opportunities it provides students to explore different voices, cultures, and contexts, allowing them to understand the world around them and their place within it. Jordan also recognises that English is an important subject in supporting students to access the wider curriculum at our school, and his aim is to help all students achieve the fundamental skills in reading and writing in order to flourish by the time they leave us.
Jordan is passionate about reading widely and is excited to read more texts set in a Vietnamese context, both inside and outside of school.
