On Friday, 14 February, our students transformed Collège Champittet into a magical world of superheroes, celebrities, mythical creatures and more. Children of all ages came to school in creative costumes, bringing a pop of colour and fantasy to our last day before winter break. And they weren’t the only ones dressed up – our teachers also got into the festive spirit with their own fantastic costumes!
Extravaganza Day is an eagerly awaited tradition of school life at Collège Champittet. Our students enjoy the excitement of creating their own magical identities for the day, whether as firefighters, princesses, fairies, foxes, astronauts, dinosaurs, or robots.
This year, our youngest learners indulged their imagination further with two performances of the show 3 Petites Porcelettes, or 3 Little Piglets. This delightful musical theatre piece tells the tale of three little pig siblings, each with their own personality and quirks. Despite their differences, they (and we) discover that love and family ties trump all.
To make the most of their wonderful costumes, our students from preschool to Grade 6 also participated in a musical costume parade around our school. They really lit up our campus with their energy, songs and unique fantasy characters.
On an even sweeter note, our youngest learners crafted heart-shaped cookies to share – the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and kick off our winter break!
