As part of the Global Campus initiative to launch the ‘World’s largest lesson’ on the circular economy concept, the IB Environmental Systems and Societies students undertook the challenge to use an assembly as the opportunity to do so.

Our IB students engaged younger pupils in the lesson through a range of methods including an entertaining role play and many audience participation opportunities. Every pupil left more aware of the life cycle of a product and the issues of our ‘throwaway society’. Maybe one day they will become pioneers of the circular economy to launch companies and products which support it, but today’s message was to bring awareness to how we can support this in our everyday lives through the products we buy and how we use them.
