“This week, I had the chance to share my thoughts on plastic straws and single use plastic with Mr. Short, Ms Lebihan and Mrs. O’Flynn-Kelly (Mr. Handley also came along for support!) It was great to be given a chance to talk about this and I enjoyed presenting a short proposal as part of the meeting” Lola, Year 6TH

“What started out as a piece of homework on ‘sustainable projects around the world’ has grown into a deep and meaningful project for Lola. She is extremely passionate about affecting positive change in our school and I have been incredibly impressed with her drive and commitment to sustainability at Dover Court.” Mr. Handley, Class Teacher

Lola is now looking into designing posters for the canteen and school café persuading people to “say no to plastic straws”.

We look forward to sharing more developments on this story in the future.

Well done Lola!
