“你好,我叫Emily,我八岁,我是女孩。”

(Translation: Hello, my name is Emily, I am 8 years old, I am a girl.)

Well done to the Year 3 students for putting so much hard work and effort into their learning this term, which has been all about introducing themselves in Mandarin. The students never stop to challenge themselves learning new content and applying the words and grammar in their Mandarin conversations.

Coming to the end of Term 1, students have been working on writing postcards to their new friends from Malaysia and Dubai! And of course, they will as well get one in return after the Christmas holiday!

We are pleased to see the students feeling excited about introducing themselves, including countries they’ve been to and the things they like as part of the postcard writing activities. The students thoroughly enjoyed this activity and we look forward to receiving the postcards from overseas after the holidays!
