Last Monday evening the Drama Department was abuzz with Year 9 students who stayed at school to attend the FOBISIA Drama Monologue Challenge Awards Presentation.
This presentation was a culmination of the students’ work, rehearsing and performing monologues. We were very impressed with a number of the final performances and we would like to especially congratulate Nuria and Lara on their engaging submissions, which the department selected to represent DCIS.
The competition received over 75 monologue performances, submitted by 30 schools across the FOBISIA Drama community. The Alice Smith School, and judge Kerry Frampton from Splendid Productions, hosted an Awards Presentation (via Zoom) to celebrate the courage, creativity and commitment of these talented performers. We were thrilled to have a special mention from the judge and were elated that so many students turned up to support their peers.
