- Where is Etqan Global Academy located?
Our campus is located in Al Kheesa, a sought-after and extremely well-connected area close to Lusail City, Doha.

- What nationalities are represented at Etqan?
- Etqan is home to a predominantly Qatari community, who make up almost 95% of our student body. We do, however, welcome learners from all over the world.
- How old does my child need to be to join Etqan?
- Our school is open to students aged from 3 to 18. This spans the Early Years, Primary Years, Middle Years, and High School.
- Can I visit the school before applying?
- Yes, of course. You can book a personalised tour of our campus by getting in touch with our Admissions Team. We’ll show you around our facilities, introduce you to our teachers, and explain more about life at Etqan.
- How do I apply to Etqan?

Next, you’ll need to complete our online application form. You’ll also need to send us some supporting documents. You can find full details on our entry requirements page.
Once we’ve received your form and documents, we’ll invite your child to sit an age-appropriate assessment (students applying to join us in Grade 1 or above). This comprises Arabic language, English, and maths tests.
- Do you prioritise sibling applications?
- Where possible, priority is given to siblings of current Etqan students. Places are subject to availability and the successful completion of our admissions process, however.
- Does Etqan Global Academy accept Qatari Education Vouchers?
- Yes, we accept eligible students under the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s ‘Education Voucher Programme’. Our Admissions Team will explain our eligibility requirements and guide you through the application process.
- Will my child take Islamic Studies and Qatari history?
- Yes, absolutely. Islamic Studies and Qatari history are delivered in accordance with Ministry requirements. They’re also integrated into the broader academic experience. This helps our students develop a strong understanding of their faith, culture, and national identity.
- How strong is the Arabic programme at Etqan?
- Arabic language and literacy are fundamental to the student experience at Etqan. The majority of our teaching staff are native Arabic speakers, and they cultivate an environment where academic excellence and cultural identity go hand in hand.
- What curricula do you teach?
From the age of 3 to 15, students at Etqan follow the renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum of programmes. This comprises the Primary Years Programme (PYP) – which covers Early Years and Primary – and the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
At 16, learners progress on to the American High School Diploma. This is a widely acclaimed curriculum that meticulously prepares students for university, work, and life. We also offer the IB Career-related Programme.
