HS Girls Varsity Volleyball – Budapest

22 October 2014

The girls travelled for a tournament held by the International Christian School of Budapest, in Diósd in Hungary.

We started with a good warm up followed by the first game with Grate Grace International School, which we won 2:0.

This gave the girls energy going into the second match where they played against a strong team from the American International School of Salzburg. This team had a head start but we managed to play a good game with the overall loss of 0:2 on sets but with a small difference in point score.

The third game against International Christian School of Budapest started very equally between both teams. However, the first set was lost by a few points and the second one as well.

We entered the final game against International Christian School of Vienna with emphasis on having fun and trying out new techniques and positions on the court. The girls enjoyed the game and won the first set very easily. However, exhaustion took over and we lost the second and third set afterwards, with the score 1:3.

Overall, the girls played really well with a great sense of commitment, enthusiasm and team work. They learned a lot and it was an experience that will help them move forward and set new goals for the next tournament held in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Well done girls and see you at the next training.
