According to Slovak tradition Mikulas comes to homes and puts sweets into cleaned children’s boots. He comes with the devil who wants to take bad children, and the angel who persuades Mikulas that all the children are good. Mikulas was a bishop who lived in the 12th century and legend says that he left money in the windows of the people in need.
Children in our school really enjoyed the visit from Mikulas and this year the devil didn’t scare them too much!
