DVAC basketball tournament update

11 March 2014

Mr Cook shares with us more good news about recent achievements of our sports teams.

  • BISB sports faculty

Another busy weeked saw our middle school teams compete in the DVAC basketball tournament.

The girls were led by Miss Earey and played here in Bratislava. They won both group games and went on to become eventually champions winning the final in a close fought game. Our first DVAC championship win of the season!

The success continued though, as the boys team played their tournament in Vienna and won their final against local rivals QSI by less than six points. Our second DVAC championship win of the season!

Middle school has progressed massively, with 15-20 students attending basketball sessions and working very hard, also giving up large chunks of their lunch break for extra training. It is great to see their hard work rewarded and the first winners penants will be displayed in the gym soon.
