Watching films together is a good way to get to know more about people. You find out how their reactions and responses are different from your own and that helps broaden your perspective on the world.  To help build the Global Campus community the Global Cinema has been introduced, a chance to watch the same films as your fellow students around the world and share your responses.

France continues to have a lively film culture to this day and the first film in the Global Cinema is Le Ballon Rouge or The Red Balloon.  Watch the film then take the challenge of making a film in the style of The Red Balloon.
GC English

English is one of the world's most widely spoken languages. Learn to communicate well in English and doors open for you ... doors to some of the greatest literature ever written, doors to your enjoyment of popular culture, doors to some of the world's best universities.  The activities in this area of the Global Campus encourage you to explore English Language and Literacy, to improve and learn new writing skills, and develop your knowledge and appreciation of English Literature. Unique opportunities such as the Global Library and the Creative Writing Competition are designed to challenge you, to help you to think critically and express yourself clearly. Make the most of these and the other opportunities on offer there.

Shakespeare was one of the best writers ever. He wrote at least 38 plays and over 160 poems. Next year is the 400th anniversary of his death, and to remember him there are loads of amazing events around the world. Look out for some near where you live and tell your schools about them.  To introduce you to some of his best plays, there are some short, fun activities to do on the Global Campus.
