The International Fund for Animal Welfare helps to care, treat and rehabilitate injured koalas, the koala's paws are often the areas of most affected so special mittens are used to protect the paws of the koala from infection until they are healed and ready to be released back into the wild.
Schools all around the world are been asked to make these mittens and help the koalas of Australia. At BISB the primary Eco Team has taken on this worthy cause and made twenty pairs of mittens out of recycled T-shirts to send all the way the Australia.
