BISB hosted QSI Bratislava (QSI), Danube International School (DIS), International Christian School Vienna (ICSV), International Christian School Budapest (ICSB) and Vienna International School (VIS).
Game 1 - BISB v DIS
The girls started the first game strong and score three quick baskets. Then disaster struck when Chiara twisted her ankle in the first quarter, with a player down the girls rallied and worked extra hard. The girls ended up convincing winners, great start girls.
Final score BISB 21 - 5 DIS
Game 2 - BISB v ICSV
The girls continued the good form and once again started the game scoring quick points and were 12-2 up at half time. ICSV managed to recover well in the second half and defended our quick passing and drives to the basket. Two games down and two games won.
Final score BISB 16 - 6 ICSV
Game 3 - BISB v QSI
The girls set out on a different tactic for this, QSI had lost their previous two games and it meant the girls should progress to the final. So we decided on a low intensity, passing game; thus, keeping the ball and conserving energy. Well done girls!
Final Score BISB 20 - 6 QSI
Final BISB v ICSB
Going into the final both teams haven't lost a game and something had to give. The first quarter was end to end however neither team could score, good defending and some unlucky shots. ICSB took an early lead in the second quarter but we came back strong and scored 6 points without reply. Going in to half time BISB were in the lead, that proved critical. The second half was much of same excellent defence and very little scoring. BISB managed to hang despite a late rally from ICSB.
Final score BISB 10 - 8 ICSB
Big congratulations girls, 4 games with only 6 players. Top effort.
Thanks to Artem Lvovich, Arthur Lienard, Evelien Arts who were scorers and can put this service activity towards their diploma's.
