CAS Climbing - another first

14 May 2015

With the weather improving, we have decided to get on some real rock for the first time during our CAS afternoons.

  • CAS climbing

After two weeks on the artificial indoor walls of Vertigo, the Year 12s headed to Technicke Sklo between Dubravka and Devinska Nova Ves to see what climbing is really all about. This is what Lucy and Jacob had to say:

Rock climbing was a new experience for us, even indoors. The height and trying to climb with only one colour was challenging in Vertigo. Outdoors, it was completely different compared to inside. Gripping holds on real rock was difficult but fun and very exciting!

The students are learning to trust and support one another and to overcome challenges, both physical and mental, and are doing very well. We are all looking forward to next week's session.
