Reception children visit the Slovak National Gallery
28 May 2015
They saw many sculptures created by Slovak and Czech artists. The sculptures were made from clay, metal, plaster and wood. The children thought about what the different shapes could be and why they had been created. Some were very obvious like the head of a person, but others made us all think very hard! We then had a workshop where the children became sculptors and created their own heads from clay. We liked changing them into monsters and aliens though, it was more fun!
