Young enterprise - El mustashio Trip

12 June 2015

On Wednesday the Young Enterprise groups took to the road and travelled to PSA Peugeot Citroen factory in Trnava. We were amazed to see how the area was transformed from a brown site to a huge automated factory complex employing 3,500 people and producing 1,350 cars every day over 3 eight-hour shifts.

The communications manager gave an informative presentation about the background of the company.  We then donned our protective clothing and took a tour of the assembly unit and quality control which was impressive.  Of course the latest car designs are top secret and security measures ensured we did not have a sneak preview of any new models.
Having the opportunity to see such a large business in action and to begin to understand how the different departments work together was fascinating.

This business environment is a contrast to our start up business at El Mustashio, but one we can learn a lot from.  Thank you to Louis for setting up the trip and for Mr Mignot and Mr Svec for making it all happen.
