Unusual visitors in Reception: A tortoise and the Police

We were delighted to have two very different visitors in Reception last week;

Viliam brought in his pet tortoise, giving his classmates the chance to touch the tortoise's shell, learn more about animals that hibernate and watch it walk quickly around the classroom (maybe because it was being followed  by a group of eager children!) We also had a visit from the police, (kindly arranged by Amy's mum). The children were able to climb into their car, hear the siren, try their hats on, look at their handcuffs and stop sign, as well as learn about how they help us - what a super week!
