Viktor Hatina and Jozef Majsky as winners of the regional competitions, were playing at the National tournament in Kosice with their Hockey Club Slovan from 7th – 10th April 2016. They arrived home late night 10th April (Sunday).
Viktor (14) and Jozef (15) were both part of the team HC Slovan Bratislava which won 2 out of 3 matches and was awarded the 2nd best Slovak Ice Hockey Team Under 16 in 2015 – 2016 season. Viktor was a valuable player even though he was 1 or 2 years younger than others in the top Slovak teams.
After this successful tournament the team stopped overnight in High Tatras. As the players shot 1300 shots in the whole season, together, boys planted 1300 new trees and created brand new forest in Tatranska Lomnica.
Viktor and Jozef (2 from 30 players) together planted more than 100 new trees in TANAP!
As a parent, I was very impressed by the report and feedback of Tatras National Park Authority (TANAP) Mr Soltys who reported that the boys were in the group of five best performed workers in Tatra National Park and they significantly contributed to the overall result of the team.
I believe that their awareness, sportsmanship and social responsibility are the result of BISB values that you clearly communicate to your students.
Mr Michal Hatina
