Victory for BISB in Poprad

05 May 2016

Our boys and girls teams played football, basketball and volleyball against the U16 teams from the Kukucinova Gymnazium.

  • Football team in Poprad
  • BISB Poprad Team

The boys started with an 11 - 0 victory in football: Ben (5 goals) Martin (4 goals), they then had a two set victory in volleyball and 40 - 8 victory in basketball.

Luke, Martin and Jiafen were outstanding during the basketball, dominating the game.

The girls put in a real team effort and the whole group contributed to a two set victory in volleyball and 20+ point victory in basketball.

Although, in some cases, our teams were playing against older students from a bigger school, their technical and organizational ability meant they really stood out.

Also a big thank you to Katka Euell for supporting the trip and for her coaching skills.

Once again our student did us proud in terms of their behavior and the sporting attitude.

The staff and students at Kukucinova Gymnazium also did a fantastic job hosting, and made us feel welcome throughout. We hope to be able to host a reciprocal event in June.

Well done to the year 10's and one year 9 involved.
