Youth Speaks

31 January 2017

Commanding an audience, speaking with authority and convincing a panel of judges is a daunting, yet valuable skill for all people to develop.

And this is what Year 9 accomplished through the House Youth Speaks competition on 30th January. All Year 9 pupils competed in the first round of the contest in their English lessons, working in groups of three – a chairperson, a main speaker, and a vote of thanks – to write and present a persuasive/informative speech on a topic of their choice.
