Our day started with a small tour through Christmas Hofburg and then we visited the Vienna Time Travel Museum. It was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the history and traditions of Vienna. The highlight of the museum was the 5D cinema where we could travel in the time and visit places like Stefan's Dom and the medieval streets during the plague and experience them through the perspective of a rat. Next the students had ,,An audience” by the Habsburgs, visited a real bombing shelter or a took part on a carriage ride through Vienna.
We rounded off our morning in the Wienerwald restaurant next to the Stefan’ s Dom where we had a lunch. The highlight of the lunch was the Sacher style chocolate cake.
After the lunch, we enjoyed the festive Christmas atmosphere on the Christmas market next to the Rathaus where everybody could try out some special goodies like Lebkuchen, Maroni or buy some small presents for friends and family. The children were enjoying the opulent Christmas decoration of the market and enjoyed spending time with their friends.
