The lights dimmed, the music rolled and the evil machinations of the Candy King began. Yes, Megaville was subjected to some very nasty wrongdoings by a cabal of mad scientists and the aforementioned CK, using gobstoppers and remote control to advance their evil course of events.
However, clumsy Stan Marvel saved the day. Unbeknown to him, the ordinary looking boy was actually a superhero. All he needed was an injection of Formula 44 from his Grandad and Hey Presto! Welcome his alter ego, Superstan. Together with his Anti-Gravity Pants, Megaville and the world was soon saved.
The script was witty and exciting, the jokes were hilarious but what made the production a success was the manner in which the children delivered their lines. The comic timing was spot on; the spoken words were clear, audible and articulate. Moreover, the diverse array of costumes and energetic, melodious singing simply complemented the drama.
Top show. Top children.
