Switzerland KS3 practice walk

11 May 2017

Friday 28th April saw the seven KS3 students who are heading of to Switzerland complete another part of their training.

  • Switzerland KS3 practice walk

Together we completed an 8km walk. We worked so hard as a group, all helping each other since students had a range of skills. The students did all of the navigation and did really well - we didn't get lost once! They worked very hard on using the maps and compasses, since this was the skill that we had learnt this week. At first their skill in this area was slow, however they worked together throughout the walk to make sure that they fully understand how to read the map and also how to us a compass! Also even the rain didn't put us off!
