Nursery A getting to know each other

27 September 2017

The Nursery A children have been getting to know each other in their class, their new environment. We noticed that during our morning sessions they enjoyed tapping sticks singing ‘Let’s tap your name’, pointing at body parts while singing songs like: ’Here is me’, ‘I’ve got a body’. We used their interest and enthusiasm developing their skills.

We set up ‘provocation activities’ where the children immediately started using resources. They painted their self – portraits practising naming their body parts. They also practised their fine motor skills when drawing around their friends’ bodies. The children used their knowledge and imagination when making figures out of empty paper boxes.

What a rewarding yummy Tuesday we had - the children got to eat the pastry people they made. Well done, Nursery A!
