This new school year was a great opportunity to check out our newly built forest area (thanks to the Slovak forest organisation) and get a taste of what Forest School has to offer.
Let me shortly introduce, what did we do during our 2 sessions. We learnt some basic bushcraft skills including fire lighting, using ropes for learning how to climb on the trees and how to tie knots, building mini-shelters for woodland animals, roasting marshmallows, making pancakes, playing with mud, playing fairies and pixies, using hammock to swing… We did lots of playing and listened to and acted out stories (The Acorn from Edward Gibbs and Stick Man from Julia Donaldson), however the most exciting activity was creating pumpkin BOB. He still is waiting for us in forest.
