World Languages Christmas Bake Sale

This year our Year 12 students have organized our annual World Languages Christmas Bake Sale. Going hand in hand with our topic ‘Feast and Celebration‘ in our syllabus students have started the Christmas festive season by baking typical Christmas pastries in their lesson.

World Languages Bake Sale

In German it has been the Vanillekipferl and Lebkuchen and the Spanish class made Turron and chocolate Christmas trees. Through this students have not only learnt to read and understand a recipe in the target language but also to practice the grammar used when describing a process or activity. Our products have been finally sold on Friday the 14th of December on the Bake Sale. Cakes and hot chocolate have been sold and the Year 12 students made a profit of 220 euros. The money will be equally divided between all the Year 12 who will go to Tanzania later in January.
