Visual Arts Competition
The Visual Arts competition is now LIVE! The closing date is April 3rd and the completed artwork can use any method: paint, drawing charcoal, sculpture, photography, digital art….
Winning art work will be used to illustrate stories from the Global Campus Creative Writing competition, and printed in the 2017-18 Anthology. All student contributors will receive a copy of this book.
Students can log on to the Global Campus to join the competition and read the stories we need to provide illustrations for.
Juilliard Flash Mob Dance Challenge
As part of Nord Anglia Education’s partnership with Juilliard, the world’s leading performing arts school, we are taking part in the Flash Mob Challenge.
Year 10 students, as part of our Leadership Enrichment Program, produced and presented a special assembly to secondary students on January 23rd, launching the Challenge as a House event to take place on February 14th.
Secondary students will come together in their Houses that day (so must wear their House t-shirts to school) and will take part in a number of events and activities relating to the Flash Mob. Not only will they work out the best way to perform the specially prepared choreography from Juilliard, but they must also film it in one take! We look forward to sharing their finished videos with you on our social media channels. Students have been making use of opportunities in different parts of the school to learn the dance, including having it as a warm up activity in PE and a way of increasing heart rate for measurements of impact of exercise in Biology!
Primary students have been learning and performing the dance over the last two weeks. Video footage will be complied by a dedicated group of primary pupils for the final piece which will then be merged with the secondary video.
Ask The Artist
An additional part of our Juilliard partnership is the unique Ask The Artist feature on our Global Campus. Here students can post questions to Juilliard graduates who are following careers in the performing arts. The current featured artist is Riley O’Flynn, a dancer and choreographer now working in Gothenburg.
Students can log onto the Global Campus to post their questions to Riley, who will then answer a selection of the questions via a video upload.

Primary Global Library
We have dozens of new books from acclaimed international authors available in the Primary Library as part of our Global Library. There’s fact, fiction, fantasy, adventure, poetry and graphic books all waiting to be picked up and enjoyed.
Not only can your child enjoy reading a great book, but they can create their own review and activities to share on the Global Campus! Reading helps children in all areas of their education, so why not pop share a Global Library book with your child!
