Middle Leadership Course certificates

Over the past year Monica Gautama, Sona Slobodova and myself, Clare Statovci, have been participating in the Nord Anglia Middle leadership course. On this course we got to work with members of staff from other Nord Anglia schools.

Here, we worked on honing and improving our ability to be successful middle leaders. We also got to investigate and learn about what it takes to be a senior leader. Each month, we had to complete different tasks focusing on the skills needed, for example mentoring, marketing the school and leading from the front. As well as this, during the last year we also had to carry out research within the school, act on this research and then present it as a formal article. I, for example, focused on the different skills taught in different subjects; how we can teach these; and where they are taught and can be taught to make the best improvements for our pupils from KS3 to IB.

All three of us have developed from this process and can use this in our positions at BISB. Not only that, but we all successfully passed the tasks and our research and have therefore been awarded certifications of completion.
