In Nursery the children had lots of fun with paint! They even did feet painting!

In Reception the children looked at the sculptures of Andy Goldsworthy and Jackson Pollock. They also took part in a clay workshop and explored drawing to music! The Reception children loved looking Jackson Pollock paintings. They used sticks and spoons to dribble and splat paint to create their own picture!

In Year 1 they learnt how to paint like Picasso and were lucky, enough to create their pictures using some original Picasso's as inspiration! They also took made some clay mobiles and rainmakers!

In Year 2 they also took part in a clay workshop, made planes out of plastic bottles plus looked at Vincent Van Gogh, Joan Miro, Robert Delauney, Kenojuak Ashevak and Martin Benka.

Year 3 explored the techniques of Henri Matisse and worked with a visiting artist Catherine Martin to create artwork inspired by Matisse. They also worked with artist Ian Keeble on pictures made from junk! What a great way to use your recyclable items!

In Year 4 they made pendants, had a painting workshop with local artist Ivan Pavle, did a dance workshop with Mr Walker and some drama with Mrs Wilcox. And they also looked at Paul Klee and Friedrich Hundertwasser! What an exciting week for them!

Year 5 were inspired by Roy Lichenstein! They also worked with artist Ian Keeble on pictures made from junk; did some stone painting and worked with clay to create sculptures!

Visiting artist Sian Hughes, a film and TV set and prop designer worked with Year 6 inspiring them for their production and showed them how to create set and props by reusing items and junk! Another great way to use your recyclable materials! They also looked at Banksy, Gormley and Wangechi Mutu to learn new skills and techniques!

What a fantastic Art Week!
